Salve Pizza Napoletana
Salve is a Budapest-based chain of Italian restaurants serving Neapolitan-style pizzas and other Italian delicacies. Inspired by Bruno Munari’s 1958 book “Speak Italian: The Fine Art of the Gesture”, New Void’s design team led by art director Tamás Kósa created a jovial visual identity to help them stand out in an increasingly crowded market.

Built upon a foundation of characterful typography and mouth-watering photography, the identity references the original gestures from the book to create a light-hearted and unique impression that embraces and celebrates the Italian way of living. We took inspiration from the futurist Italian typography of the 20s.
In bringing the Salve brand to life, graphic design and creative production work seamlessly to create a cohesive and immersive experience. The centerpiece, a large suspended LED light, captures the essence of the iconic Italian hand gesture, which is also prominently featured on wall graphics and packaging designs. This iconic element serves as a unifying thread throughout the brand. Moreover, we ensure a consistent and engaging brand experience across all touchpoints, from physical brand assets to essential restaurant applications. Whether it’s the menu design, digital ordering platform, or signage, every detail is meticulously crafted to reflect the Salve identity, creating a harmonious and memorable journey for every guest.
Since the launch of the brand, we’ve collaborated closely with the client to capture the essence of their dishes through compelling photo- and videography. Whether in the vibrant atmosphere of their restaurants or across social media platforms, we ensured each visual touchpoint reflected the playful, authentic spirit of Salve, making the dining experience feel as engaging online as it is in person.
